Quakes me awake - is a fine line! And there are others. I am enamored by your treehouse. And your lines.

Hi Marie! Your poem is filled with such wonderful magic and delight! And the line "I am Tiggerish for the day" triggers so many cozy and adventurous images for me -- it reminds me of Teddy Roosevelt (yes, T.R., full of adventure and energy and enthusiasm), Winnie the Pooh, whimsy, innocence, curiousity, and The Wizard of Oz. I'm free associating here -- but I am loving the word "Tiggerish"! And I love the lines "I will run and not be weary. I will sing and not be whining For I am ALIVE!" There is such passion and joy in this! Beautiful poem, Marie!! And thank you for your very kind comments on my blog!
:)

Marie,
Love the word Tiggerish...I think I'm going to use it. This is an entertaining ode to the morning brew. Made me smile.

Love the "quakes me awake" especially since it is followed by such energetic lines:)
