My Sailor Went to Sea, Sea, Sea

Yet another poem for my daughter for graduation...Seems my feelings and emotions are right to the surface all the time.  I shall miss her gentleness, loving ways, fun and celebration of life always.  Many times I admire her life, and she becomes my mentor.  :)

My Sailor – Kelci

(for your graduation)

        By Marie Wallace

Pearly capped waves

Move in and out to sea

Just like the surf

That swells inside of me

She’s leaving on a ship

Sailing far out to sea

My compass, my anchor,

Ripped away from me

This little sailor

Has much to explore

Her voyage from home

Can’t wait anymore.

Bon voyage my little one

Be happy and safe on your own

Remember when the course gets rough

True north is always home.

True north is always home - that's such a love message for a child. Your whole poem is a gift...

Thank you Pauline...just I feel your words are wings and freedom!
Good luck finishing your year...and may you get all the important things done. (Our true work is never done.)

That is beautiful...
