Under the influence of writing - another fun activity for you

I love fun activities for writing and creativity...gets the juices flowing and makes you discover...sometimes it just makes you smile like this exercise! I did this with a group of teachers this week.  They had so much fun!  I could hear their giggles and laughter...yet, I found it interesting that they didn't want to share with the rest of us because it was too silly.  Why do we always feel what we write has to be significant or "AWE" some?  Sometimes it is just a way to enjoy the great beings we are.

Directions:  choose some of your favorite words (use these or some of your own) and write a 4 or 5 sentence vignette or short story....hey, if you're inspired write more!    OR - use some of these words to write a greeting to someone - try a Scroogy person in your life...see how it makes you think of them differently...   OR randomly pair the words "whirling cherub" , etc. to see if it inspires you in any other way.  Remember, the purpose is to enjoy...nothing more...nothing less!  May you feel blessed today...be kind to you!

More food for the front of the fridge...

I'm blessed...truly blessed...and I try to remind myself everyday, especially on Sundays.  Even when hard times hit, I try to remember, what is it I am supposed to learn in this moment?  How does this wall, and getting past it, make me stronger and a better person?  If I keep meeting brick walls, what does that mean?  Am I forgetting to be flexible and open to possibilities?  Am I holding on to hard to the past or too hard to the future to live present and in the moment?

When I open myself, I open doors. 

Here is a list of things that will create an abundant life for you.  It's from a seminar of Dr. Dyer, a wise, connected man.  Hey, another list for your New Year's fridge!

  Want more for others than for yourself - brings abundance

  Think from the end - see yourself surrounded by the people and events that will get you to your goal: you can create what you want for yourself because it's already there.

  Stay in rapport with the source - gives you energy (the source is always God)

  understand resistance is anything not connected to the source - can be fear, judgement, etc.

  contemplate yourself surrounded by the conditions you want to improve

  understand the art of allowing – take the path of least resistance

  Practice radical humility

  Be in a constant state of gratitude – be generous

  Never resolve a problem by condemning it

  Play the match game – match the field of intention

  Meditate – to stay connected to the source

More Methods for Self Motivation

As promised, here is the 2nd part of staying self-motivated.  I keep these on my fridge in case I find myself lingering around the t.v. or not powering through a project.  I should use it to accomplish my art or do more writing!  Anywayz...people have said these methods are helpful, so here ya go.  Enjoy!

Creative Thinking:

*  Believe it can be done

*  don't get stuck in traditions or molds

* strive constantly to improve

* increase your productivity; do what you do better and more of it.   (those who are great musicians, practice thousands of times more than those who are mediocre - teachers call it time on task.)

SUCCESS ORIENTED THINKING:

* You will always get what you focus on- Negative or Positive

* Success is created in the mind first

* Get excited about the success of others

* EXPECT IT!

These categories are my favorite...Creative thinking has energy which keeps me moving forward and actively  and Success keeps me excited and positive!  I hope they assist you in this New Year in making and keeping your goals and resolutions.

Happy New Year!

Last year blew by soooo fast!  I'm happy to be starting a New Year.  This year I avow to be a better connector, both through my friends on-line and my family...might even get better with Facebook...though that is a huge chunk of time.

Last night we went to a friend's house and played Apples to Apples and watched Jeff Dunham, Spark of Insanity.  That is one funny guy!

Here is a little something that I have to assist me with making New Year's Resolutions and keeping them.  Actually, it's great for getting Self Motivated!  There are several categories.  May you have a blessed New year and may your vision be clear.

Accept Responsibility for Self:

           *  Quit blaming others for where you are

          *  Recognize the difference between good fortune, preparation,planning and positive thinking

          *  Release the need to control others

          * an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

Build self- confidence

   * understand yourself and others

  * develop good skills

  *  recognize your personal worth

  *  put other people in PROPER perspective

  *  practice confidence building techniques - speak positively; think positively, smile, make eye contact, speak-up and share information, ideas, etc.

  * sell yourself

  *  expand your vision - add value to things, people and YOURSELF

  * AVOID criticism!  (which means avoid those emotional vampires people!)
